THE TOWN OF NORTH TOPSAIL BEACH BEGINS SEARCH FOR NEW MANAGER
March 4, 2020
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – The Town of North Topsail Beach’s Board of Aldermen have begun their search for a new Town Manager.
On Tuesday, February 25th, Bryan Chadwick, the Town’s present Town Manager, informed the Board that he intended to resign and gave the Board 60 days’ notice of his resignation as required by his contract. Thereafter Mayor Dan Tuman called for a Special Meeting on Friday, February 28th, for the purpose of discussing personnel.
The Board took no action at the special meeting. However, the Board and Mr. Chadwick have agreed that Mr. Chadwick’s last day will be Friday, April 3rd, the day after the Town’s normally held monthly Board meeting. In the meantime, Mr. Chadwick will be presenting a transition plan to the Board outlining the status of the Town’s various projects and other Town items and a plan of transition for his replacement.
The Board of Aldermen will name an interim manager prior to Mr. Chadwick's departure. The Board wishes Manager Chadwick continued success in his new position.
The Board of Alderman wants to ensure the public that despite press releases to the contrary, Mr. Chadwick’s last day with the Town will not be March 6th, and the Board and Mr. Chadwick have worked out a date of separation that will ensure a seamless transition following Mr. Chadwick’s departure from the Town.
The Town Board of Alderman will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, March 5, at 6:30 PM in the Onslow Hall of the St. Regis Resort located in North Topsail Beach.
