Sign Application

Requirements

A sign permit application requires the following documents:

1. Site plan, including sign location
2. Sign mock-up including:
   1. Design
   2. Material
   3. Dimensions
   4. Lighting plan (if applicable)

Application Process

Log into: https://www.citizenserve.com/northtopsailbeach

1. Complete a Zoning & Floodplain Application:
   1. Mouse over “Services” tab in the top bar
   2. Click on "Planning and Zoning"
   3. In the left-hand column, click on "Apply online"
   4. Select "Zoning and Floodplain Permit" in the drop-down menu
   5. Complete the application and click "submit"
      1. Once submitted, note this permit number (in “pending” permits tab)
2. If this sign is powered or lighted, complete an Electrical Permit Application:
   1. Mouse over “Services” tab in the top bar
   2. Click on "Permits"
   3. Click on "Apply online" in the left-hand column
   4. Select "Electrical Permit" in the drop-down menu
   5. Complete the application and click "submit"
      1. Once submitted, note this permit number (in “pending” permits tab)
3. Complete a Sign Permit Application:
   1. Mouse over “Services” tab in the top bar
   2. Click on "Permits"
   3. In the left-hand column, click on "Apply online"
   4. Select "Sign Permit" in the drop-down menu
   5. Complete the application
      1. Under “PROJECT INFORMATION”:
         1. Enter the ZFP permit number noted above
         2. If this sign requires electrical power, enter the E permit number noted above
   6. Click “Submit”
